Really bad hairday!

In the last few weeks my hair has gone from bad to awful. Due to bleaching and exposure to strong sunshine this summer, it has deteriorated into nylon like tufts. So, please ignore my head on the following pictures - and look at my dress!

Camouflage pattern in pink and brown?

In the next post my hair will be better, I've just come home from the hairdresser's. She's done a marvelous job again!

This morning I wasn't starting so early, so I had time (and light) to take a few photos outside. It wasn't very warm, but I was hot, again. In fact I didn't put on my jacket until I was leaving for the hairdresser in the afternoon. I bet when the real winter weather sets in my hot flushes will be over!

I don't mind turning my back on people in this dress!

This was the last of the CC sales dresses this year. All the sales items are removed from the website, so there's going to be money for Christmas presents for the family after all!

The boots I'm wearing are old, around 10 years. A lot of you have asked about them. They're from Birkenstock's Footprints range, and called Rochelle. Unfortunately they've stopped making them.

When in doubt, wear bangles

Wearing this latest treasure I'm linking up with Patti's Visible Monday party at the Not Dead Yet Style blog although, I'm very late.

Have a great week everyone - and see you soon!

  2. Another lovely dress, Tine! Don't fret about your hair, it looks fine to me, but it's good to know you are happier with it now. And I love the print on the dress, I don't see camouflage, I see flowers or leaves or balloons or lollipops!
The boots are great, and so are all your bangles.
Photos in winter are going to be a challenge... I tried to take some after getting the kids from school, but by 3.45 it was already too dark! xxxxxx

    1. Thank you very much Curtise! I'm really in the most capable hands with this hairdresser! I love how it turned out, and it's so much healthier and softer than before.

I'm using flash indoors now. Today it's been too dark outside to take photos using only natural lighting, the whole day!

    1. Thank you very much Sabine! I'm going with the same hairstyle, only shorter. I also got a few new setting products, to fight the frizziness.

  6. Very pretty dress and awesome boots. We are so much harder on ourselves than others are - I would have never noticed your hair. I think all outside pics involve some misplaced hair :P

    1. Thank you very much Lynne! The hair isn't misplaced - it looks like this all the time, indoors too. The texture is just completely ruined. So, it has to go!

  7. Angelic as ever, Tine! I love the gentle colours and print here - you wear both muted and super-brights beautifully - and your bangles, tights, and boots are a harmonious look. Glad your family will be having a good Christmas. :)

    1. Thank you so much Amber! What I haven't figured out yet is how I can get away with wearing both muted colours and very bright colours. I haven't found any colour theory that supports this possibility. Could it be that these theories are incomplete?

  8. Superb dress, I remember seeing it in the sale section, thinking how cute it was. :) heh I can totally relate to moppy hair, im bleaching my hair once a month , quite a tow on my hair, making it crisp like noodles (said by former hairdresser). ;)

    1. Thank you very much Monica! Wow, bleaching it every month? If I did that I would loose every hair on my head! The damaged bits were sort of 'breaking off' already!

The bleached colour does suit you very well, and I would have taken it for your natural colour if you hadn't said anything!

  9. I love all your dresses! They are such a wonderful variation on a theme that looks so great on you.. I was one of the people asking you about the boots, sigh. I love them so much. Too bad they've stopped making them. Maybe I'll find a pre-loved pair someday.

Your hair is adorable as always, hairdresser or not.

    1. Thank you so much Jean! Stranger things have happened, so I can't see any reason why you shouldn't find a pair Rochelle boots some day! And I know they'll look great with so many things in your wardrobe. I'll start looking for a pre-loved pair too - I don't know why I didn't think of that myself!

  10. I'm a huge fan of your gorgeous boots as you know. I use to have some like it, I can't even remember where I bought them but they were a favorite. Then I went through some awful kind of conservative stage and actually cut them into ankle boots!! I cut the leather, can you believe it? Well, I wore them under my pants for a while until I eventually threw them away. I'm so stupid, what was I thinking?
This is another great dress. Don't you love it when you hit just the right "sweet spot" on a particular clothing? You've invested in some great dresses that look comfy too.
Right now I'm enjoying collected some trapeze shaped tops that hang away from my midsection. They seem to be becoming a "go to" staple like these dresses are for you.

Can't wait to see your hair!

    1. Thank you very much Joni! Yes, dressing has become so much easier with these dresses! Almost everyone of them have been bought on sale too. I can't believe how lucky I've been!

Being a creative person you have to explore the good ideas you get - which sometimes leads to things like ruining a great pair of boots!

    1. Thank you so much Bella! All the dresses are faux wraps, since I'm always messing up the true wrap

I really love this dress on you. The color and pattern is so pretty. Love the boots too. I have a pair of Footprints shoes that I need to get out and wear.

  16. Another great dress for you - although the black and yellow is still my favorite (as I have said in another comment). As a Scandinavian I can definitely relate to bad hair days, but I think you think about it more than we do.

  17. Thank you so much Anna! I agree about the dress - the black and yellow is more funky, in unusual colours. And we like unusual!
